British Basketball League officials could launch an investigation against Plymouth Raiders after the clubâ€
s mascot came onto the court during Saturdayâ€
s Trophy tie with Guildford.
Foxy, the Raiders long-standing mascot, was seen to cross the sidelines during a stoppage for a foul – and then pulled down the shorts of Heat star Martell McLemore late in the game with just three points separating the teams.
Such incidents are in contravention of FIBAâ€
s rules.
“Only in the BBL can a mascot pull down a visiting players shorts in the middle of the game, and the refs do nothing,†said Guildford forward Tayo Ogedengbe on his Twitter account.
Plymouth won 87-83 to book their place in the semi-finals.
